I. New Showdown Gameplay: Tempered Inferno
Deep within the Soul-forging Abyss beneath the Shadowjade Mine, the Chaos Furnace — once used to forge the divine weapons of the Hidden Tribe (隐族, literal translation) — burned day and night without rest, until Wanxiang's (万象, unofficial) mad scheme threw everything into upheaval.
After the heroes thwarted Wanxiang's plot to reverse-cultivate the Five Elements into chaos, scattered fragments of unformed Chaos Qi (混沌真气, literal translation) leaked out and infiltrated the Chaos Furnace. With its Five Elements thrown out of balance, the Furnace began radiating immense energy, drawing countless demons and fiends out of the shadows. A battle to defend the Furnace was at hand.
In this crisis, heroes use Chaos Stones (混沌石, literal translation) forged by the Furnace to craft Curios infused with the power of Yin and Yang. These Curios become powerful weapons against evil.
However, as the Chaos Furnace's energy continues to leak out, its flames grow weaker. Heroes who want to obtain more Curios must wait until the Five-Element Qi across The Morus Isle returns to balance before the Furnace can be reawakened.
Defeat more rounds of monsters to earn more rewards — including brand-new Curios!
II. New Showdown Item: Curios
Curios come in two slot types — Yin and Yang — and each hero can equip one Curio in each slot.
1. Curio Crafting
Once you've collected Chaos Stones in Tempered Inferno, you can use them to craft Curios. There are two crafting modes: Random Craft and Targeted Craft.
- Random Craft: Crafts a random Curio from the current season's pool, granting craft EXP for that Curio and raising its craft level.
- Targeted Craft: Once a Curio reaches craft level 1, you can also craft it directly.
When the season ends, Curios are returned, but their craft levels are preserved. In the next season, last season's Curios can only be obtained through Targeted Craft, with occasional rerun events to follow.
Each season, Curio crafting also progresses Season Progress. Every time you raise a current-season Curio's craft level by 1, Season Progress increases by 1 point. Season Progress rewards include Flux Jade, Curio crafting materials, and more.
2. Curio Level Up
Smelt existing Curios to obtain Curio Embers (法宝余烬, literal translation), then spend them to level up your Curios.
Each level-up adds one extra attribute. Type and quality are random, but you cannot roll a duplicate type. Maximum of four attributes.
3. Curio Awakening and Yin-Yang Mastery
Once an Extreme-quality Curio is fully leveled up, you can attempt to Awaken it using a Soul-Casting Pill (铸灵丹, literal translation).
- Awakening Complete: Grants a random Awakened attribute. Each Curio has its own pool of possible Awakened attributes.
- Awakening Failed: Randomly removes one attribute (you can re-level it). Each failure stacks the success rate, which is shared across all Curios.
Once you've successfully Awakened one Yin Curio and one Yang Curio, all your heroes — whether or not they're equipped — gain the Yin-Yang Mastery status, which boosts your whole team's Luck. This is marked with a special icon on the Team Stats screen.
Yin-Yang Mastery lasts until the next Showdown season's Tempered Inferno mode begins again.
Hero Adjustments
I.
Tianhai
- When Great Vajra grabs two enemies, the slam's damage coefficient has been adjusted from 12.0 to 12.5.
II.
Yueshan
- Extended the Defensive Focus duration after landing from Scorching Dash: Weaken. It now covers the entire recovery animation.
- Slightly reduced the scene height check when Yueshan casts his Ultimate.
Developer Note: Because every map has its own design style and combat situations are far more varied in practice, it's very hard to find a single spatial-check standard that fits every transformation-type Ultimate. Strictly checking against the model's actual volume makes Ultimates easier to cast, but often leads to a "too big to fit through the door" situation where the player can't move through the current environment normally. Conversely, expanding the check volume guarantees enough room to fight in after transforming, but makes successfully transforming harder in the first place. After comparing multiple environment tiles, we've slightly reduced the height check to fit more transformation scenarios. We'll continue to observe and test this.
III.
Temulch
- For Temulch's Ultimate Storm Prison: Reload, replenishing wind bullets (风弹, unofficial) by passing through the wind wall will no longer affect the skill's cooldown.
- When Temulch already has wind bullets in reserve, passing through the wind wall will no longer refresh them.
IV.
Takeda Nobutada
Across-the-board increase to lifesteal coefficients after activating his Ultimate: Demonic Strike during Demonic Aid raised from 150% to 180%; Demonic Aid: Teleport raised from 30% to 50%; and Demonic Strike·Havoc during Demonic Aid: Force raised from 750% to 800%.
