First and foremost, thank you for your continued support of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT. You have been granted Beta Server access.

The following changes apply only during this test period and do not represent the final tuning.

New Content

I. The Maelstrom — An Infinite Reconstruction Map Added to The Herald's Trial

A Chaos Ancient Deity tears space asunder, gathering countless fragments of other worlds in this place. With the Maelstrom descending, who can escape?

Map Mechanics

  1. In The Maelstrom, every match is a new adventure — this perilous land is randomly assembled from broken segments of multiple maps.

The new region Disordered Wasteland may appear within The Maelstrom:

  • Disordered Wasteland: In a distant otherworld, Sunwing and Moonbane merged as one, and the Chaos Ancient Deity returned to the light of day. It rent space apart, gathering fragments of different worlds here, and so the Maelstrom came into being.
  • Primal Altar (元初坛, literal translation): Sunwing's Blazing Feathers fall as soil; Moonbane's sunken bones stack as beams. Blood mingles, souls fuse, devouring sun and moon — and the Great Wilds return at last to the Great Wilds.
  • Dou Wastes (斗墟, literal translation): Heaven and earth forge a crucible as an arena, where beans and stalks boil together in a single pot. Claws turn upon kin, blood floods the ground, and one cloaked in grievance becomes the new king.
  • Guicang Crag (归藏岩, literal translation): Ten thousand ghosts entwine, hidden in stone caverns; gusts of yin wind drift, now here, now gone. By night, heed not the sound of strings and pipes — it may be lost souls weeping aloud.
  • Primordial Pool (混元池, literal translation): Primordial assimilation fuses all things; bone dissolves, flesh melts, all share one path. Shed dust, cast off filth, merge with the Divine Form — only then realize all beings dwell within the crucible.
  • Netherbound City (通幽城, literal translation): A city as bustling as one might wish, its markets and pavilions standing in stately array. Gusts of yin wind startle one awake from dreams — only when senses return does one realize this is no mortal realm.
  1. Chaos Sea (混沌海, literal translation): Between the broken continents surges the Chaos Sea. Chaos Residue (混沌遗毒, literal translation) spreads throughout it; heroes fully corroded by it continuously lose Health and suffer reduced healing. The reduced-healing effect only fades after staying clear of the Chaos Sea for a period of time.

  2. Monsters: Monsters roam the Floating Stones of the Chaos Sea. Try to avoid fighting them before obtaining a Divine Weapon (神兵, literal translation).

  3. Divine Weapons: Opening a Chaos Stash has a chance to grant a Divine Weapon Fragment (神兵残体, literal translation). The locations of parties carrying different types of fragments belonging to the same Divine Weapon are revealed on the map. Once a party collects all three fragments of the same Divine Weapon, they can use them in the Bag to Craft the Divine Weapon. Parties holding a Divine Weapon become immune to Chaos Residue and deal higher DMG to monsters in the Chaos Sea. Attacking the Enemy Side with a Divine Weapon also lowers their maximum Health for a period of time.

  4. Nexus Realm: The Nexus Realm is the hub linking the major regions. Inside, you will encounter Chaos Stashes that are scarcer in other areas. Heroes must purchase a Nexus Key from the Rift Dealer to enter the Nexus Realm when the Nexus Gate appears.

II. Showdown

1. New Gameplay

Added Counter mechanics and Deadeye Martial Skills for the Cannon and Repeating Crossbow.

III. New Tempered Inferno and New Curios

1. Tempered Inferno Returns with Four Exclusive Curios and Four Default Curios

Exclusive Curios:

  1. Wolf Soul Beads ( Temulch): [Earthshaker] continuously shoots [Windballs] that can pierce enemies multiple times during the move and allows entry into the special technique "Defuse·Solve."
  2. Dark Plume ( Matari): When using the Aegis-break Martial Skill, [Hawk Feathers] (鹰羽, literal translation) are launched, striking enemies along their path and remaining on the ground and walls. When Defuse Triggered, all [Hawk Feathers] are recycled and strike enemies along their path. Up to 6 [Hawk Feathers] can exist at once.
  3. Amicus Casket ( Feria Shen): In Bronze Mech state, the Powerful Cannon mode is accompanied by a laser strike.
  4. Qi Defense Vessel ( Wuchen): The Martial Skill [Yin Yang Seal] is changed to launch a [Windball] (风球, literal translation) that persists for 15 seconds. The [Windball] can be hit by the Vertical Strike 1st Stage of Charged Attack [Wild Windspout] to be launched and enhanced, up to 2 times. After being enhanced twice, the next [Wild Windspout] hit will cause the [Windball] to explode.

2. Feature Updates

  1. New optimization: every 8 random Crafts will guarantee a Curio with Craft Level 0.
  2. Optimized the Season list display so players can directly see how many Curios have been unlocked each season. Once new-Season Curio progress reaches Level 6, players unlock the right to Craft Curios from previous seasons. Players who already have the Craft Level can Craft previous-season Curios.
  3. As the Curio count returns to normal, the speed of increasing Craft Levels this season also returns to standard.

3. In-Match Updates to Tempered Inferno

  1. The original Effigy is replaced by Mind Deceiver: when used, it raises a barrier; monsters that touch the barrier temporarily walk in the opposite direction.
  2. The original Shadow Elixir is replaced by Ice Snap: when used, it summons the will of extreme cold, dealing a large-area strike and Freezing small monsters.
  3. New Omens added: Defiance of the Fallen and Blazing Resentment. The types of monsters and bosses are also updated.

Hero Adjustments

Tianhai

  1. The Horizontal Strike and Vertical Strike grapple moves in the Great Vajra state now have a Charged Attack action — you can Hold to delay the release, but a charged release does not change the performance of the follow-up moves.
  2. The DMG coefficient of Great Vajra slamming when grappling two enemies has been changed from 12.5 to 13.0.
  3. Optimized the terrain collision detection of Great Vajra's Horizontal Strike grapple projectile.
  4. Optimized Great Vajra's melee grapple moves, allowing for a larger turning range during the move's startup.
  5. Optimized the sound effects of Great Vajra's Unarmed stomp small skill to better match the animation; actual gameplay is unchanged.

Shayol Wei

  1. Activating the Ultimate now also grants all friendly teammates 1 stack of [Mystic Roar Block] (玄武格挡, literal translation). When a teammate's [Mystic Roar Block] is triggered, it does not grant them any counter charges.

Yueshan

  1. The Almighty General Skill Rampage and the subsequent Dragon Tail Sweep (龙摆尾, literal translation) moves now grant 30% Damage Reduction during the animation.
  2. Raised the Super Armor priority of the Almighty General's Earthsplitter (裂地劈, literal translation) move — during the Earthsplitter animation, it can no longer be interrupted by the Thunder Lord's grounded or airborne Vertical Strike moves (but the moving Charged Attack action can still be interrupted).
  3. Optimized the animation and feel of the Almighty General's Horizontal Strike Charged Attack and moving Charged Attack. After Yueshan enters the Horizontal Strike Charged Attack state, he can now directly turn left or right to enter the moving Charged Attack.

Zai Ji

  1. In Ultimate Status, the Chain Scythe's enhanced Charged Attack moves [Chain Dance] (链舞, literal translation) and [Chain Dance: Bind] (链舞·拘, literal translation) now grant 30% Damage Reduction during their release.

Xunhuan Li

  1. For the aiming move of the Ultimate Untouched Leaf that consumes Divine Will (神意, literal translation), Xunhuan Li can now perform a single jump while aiming. The base damage coefficient of Flying Knives has been changed from 2.5 to 2.25, and the maximum damage coefficient from 5.0 to 4.5.
  2. For the continuous Flying Knives move of the Ultimate Untouched Leaf: Flow that consumes Divine Will, the five-hit damage coefficients have been changed from 1.2/1.0/1.0/1.0/1.8 to 1.1/0.9/0.9/0.9/1.6.

Developer Comment: Previously, players could achieve a jump during the aiming phase by pre-inputting a dodge. After evaluation we kept this gameplay and simplified the controls. We expect this will somewhat improve Xunhuan Li's Flying Knives hit rate and survivability. From a competitive-balance standpoint, we limited it to a single jump and adjusted the damage coefficients accordingly.

Weapon Adjustments

I. Double-edged Weapon

  1. Added a Congeneric Skill move between the Longsword and Whipsword.
  2. Fixed an issue where the Uppercut Slash move's strike range did not match its special effect.

II. Dagger

  1. Fixed an issue where the Dagger's Horizontal Strike Charged Attack move could sometimes fail to Clash properly.

Battle Adjustments

I. Survival Modes Talent Adjustments

  1. The Skill DMG increase from the Talent Offense·High Impact at each level has been raised from +1.25%/2.5%/3.75%/5% to +2%/4%/6%/8%.
  2. The Talent Offense·Aura Effect is changed to: Defeating an enemy within 10 seconds of using a skill reduces skill cooldown by 30%/60%.
  3. The positions of the Talents Body·Blunt and Body·Robust have been swapped.
  4. The Weapon DMG Damage Reduction from the Talent Body·Blunt while in a move's Super Armor state has been lowered from +5%/10%/15%/20% to +2.5%/5%/7.5%/10%.
  5. The Health increase from the Talent Body·Robust at each level has been raised from +7/15/22/30 to +20/40/60/80.

Souljade Adjustments

I. Double-edged Weapon Souljades

  1. Slightly increased the startup time of the Divine Flight move.

Out-of-Match Adjustments

I. Ranked Score Settlement Rule Adjustment

In Ranked Mode, when below 4,500 points, even if your rank score is higher than your current match, the Score Settlement will no longer deduct points.

II. Select Map Adjustment

  1. Gameplay modes that allow map selection have been changed to support selecting multiple maps at once:
    • The Herald's Trial requires selecting at least 2 maps.
    • Quick Match and Bot Mode require selecting at least 1 map.
  2. Optimized the interaction experience and added map demonstration videos.

Rift Traversal Adjustments

I. Items Adjustments

  1. After meeting the prerequisites for the Rubrics White-Blue: Yang Emergence, Blue-White: Yin Resurgence, and Yin Yang Convulsion, you must deal a corresponding type of strike within 15 seconds in order to trigger the follow-up Yang Eclipse (阳蚀, literal translation), Yin Murk (阴浊, literal translation), and Yin Yang Burst explosions.

Developer Comment: In some situations, the first contact between two combatants could immediately trigger the Yin-Yang Jade control effect, leaving the targeted side with no effective warning. While trying to preserve the strength of Yin-Yang builds in head-on combat, we have refined this experience.

Showdown Adjustments

I. Battle Adjustments

  1. Adjusted the fall time and interval of Divine Thunder when your Thundershock value is full and you are not carrying Skyshaker Thunder (震天雷, literal translation) or Thunderproof, so it now matches the timing when those items are carried.
  2. Optimized the hit special effects of crossbow bolts when using the Repeating Crossbow to attack Bosses and Elite monsters.

II. Feature Adjustments

  1. Stamina, Weekly Quests, and Doom will refresh after the update (two days early). Please plan your time accordingly. Some stages of Doom·Speedrun and Yama's Abyss this cycle will be temporarily unavailable after the update, and will return to normal after the weekly leaderboard settlement.
  2. For Souljades you have already obtained, you can now check How to Obtain in Narakapedia and Suggest Souljades. The Alt-key feature that displays attribute limits has also been updated to show How to Obtain information, making it easier to keep farming a Souljade you already own.
  3. The Current Season settlement reward has been changed from Splendor Treasure Choice Gift to Serene Treasure Choice Gift, with the quantity unchanged.

Bug Fixes

I. Hero-related Bugs

  1. Fixed an issue where Justina Gu's Super Armor duration was too long after using the second-stage Ultimate move in the air while in the Arctic Wraith Ultimate state.
  2. Fixed an issue where the damage of some moves of Zai Ji's Ultimate weapon Chain Scythe was being incorrectly reduced.

II. Showdown-related Bugs

  1. Fixed an issue where Agnivat in the Topaz Enigma Domain and Enigma Peak would abnormally trigger return behavior within the event area.
