NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Test Server Update – 2025-05-30

Heroes,

Thank you for your continued support of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT. You've been granted Beta Server access.

New Content

I. Showdown 3.0 New Season: Windstorm

1. New Hero: Justina Gu

As the shadow of the Hidden Tribe (隐族, literal translation) spreads across the land, three blades cross paths for the first time.

How will Justina Gu forge an unexpected alliance with the Sacred Eagle of Holoroth (火罗圣鹰, literal translation) and the Wolf King of Canis (草原狼王, literal translation)?

The new hero Justina Gu has joined Showdown. Her blade glints with frost, sweeping away the foul air of the eight realms.

2. New Boss and Chapter

Strange changes have suddenly appeared in the long-silent Empyreal Village. Beneath the twisted totem pole, a woman draped in wolf hide quietly emerges…

Three hundred years of sandstorms cannot conceal Sirius's wrath — Hidden Tribe Elder Huanyue returns to the mortal world.

The brand-new Showdown series Ten Masterpieces Array: Hidden Tribe Elder Council (隐族长老会, literal translation) officially opens, and the new chapter Wind Howl Array (风吼阵, literal translation) is now live!

Dev Comment: To better tell the Showdown story and balance the update cadence, while keeping the total of 4 stages across 2 seasons unchanged, we're switching to a more balanced pace of 2 new stages per season. Also, starting this season, the Easy difficulty of each new season's stages will no longer have unlock requirements and will no longer be subject to level suppression. All players can freely enjoy the Showdown story and challenge the latest bosses.

3. Trial Heroes and Party Support

  1. When playing in a party with others, during the hero selection phase of the preparation stage you can pick from the 2 heroes (and corresponding loadouts) that your party teammates have set on display in their personal profile. Teammates can also configure a loadout directly during the preparation stage to provide a support hero. When not in a party, you can still use a system trial hero.
  2. The initial trial count is 2 per week, with more uses gradually unlocked as your Showdown season level increases.
  3. Supporting others grants Popularity, Souljade Fragments, and Scented Sachet rewards.
  4. This feature is available in Easy Level, Hard Level, Doom, and Topaz Enigma Domain.
  5. Trial count and reward progress reset every Thursday at 4:00.

4. New Showdown Season Start Quests

Starting from the Windstorm Season, every new Showdown season will feature exclusive Season Start quests. The original Beginner Start quests will remain.

Unlock condition: After completing the Beginner Start quests, simply participate in Showdown during the current season to automatically unlock that season's Season Start quests.

Quests and rewards: During the limited event period after the season opens, clear any Showdown stage daily to claim that day's reward. Complete 7 days of quests to receive a generous Season Start gift: a powerful Souljade set and the precious Showdown resource — Flux Jade Shards.

5. Nirriti's Ruins and Yama's Abyss Reset

Yama's Abyss, Nirriti's Ruins, and Season Challenge progress and rewards have all been reset.

Challenge Yama's Abyss and Nirriti's Ruins in the current season to earn the Splendor Treasure Choice Gift, Showdown Seals, Flux Jade, Exclusive Avatars, and other generous rewards!

6. New Gameplay

  1. Added new "Element Surge" Souljades. When your element value is full, a stronger power is unleashed. Compatible with Ice, Thunder, and Poison elements.
  2. Added one-button Counter for Bow and Musket.
  3. Added the Cloudpiercer mechanic to ranged weapons. After building up Deadeye value through shooting, you'll enter Deadeye Mode and unlock advanced gameplay. Weakness-spotting gameplay and exclusive Deadeye Martial Skills for Bow and Musket will be the first to debut.
  4. Potential Levels have been reset. Potential effects have been comprehensively reworked, and new Potentials related to Element Surge and Deadeye have been added, offering richer build options for all heroes.

7. Sense Level Reworked into Showdown Level

Showdown Souljades and heroes no longer have a Sense Level. They've been changed to a unified Showdown Level shared across all heroes. At the same time, Potential Level will be merged into Showdown Level.

A portion of the maximum Sense Level on Souljades in your Might Season inventory will be inherited as Showdown Level. Levels 1050 and below will not be inherited; above level 1050, every 5 levels inherits as 1 Showdown Level (i.e. max level 1120 inherits as level 15).

Earn Showdown Season XP by completing Showdown Weekly Quests or spending stamina to raise your Showdown Level. This grants Potential Points and substantial attributes.

Dev Comment: With Sense Level reworked into Showdown Level, the barrier for new players entering Showdown is lowered. Trying different Souljade builds no longer requires a tedious leveling process — Souljade drops won't be wasted on leveling up anymore, and everyone will have more Recasting Material.

II. Showdown Limited Event

Frenzied Vinemire (荆将暴走, literal translation)

A Vinemire driven to madness now roams the path of Showdown. Slaughter or salvation lies in a single thought!

During the event:

  1. In Showdown main-line stages (excluding Immovable, None Shall Pass, Forest Peril, and Buried Giant), Topaz Enigma Domain, and Nirriti's Ruins, there's a chance for Frenzied Vinemire to appear when fighting boss monsters.
  2. Although the frenzied Vinemire treats everything as an enemy, its hatred toward bosses far exceeds its hatred toward heroes.
  3. At certain moments, the frenzied Vinemire will leave the battlefield on its own.

III. MVP Results Animation

Added an MVP results animation. In Capture the Spirit Well, Golden Roc Escort, The Bloodbath, and Showdown Trios (Enigma Domain, Nirriti's Ruins, Doom, Tempered Inferno) results screens, the results animation of the match's best-performing player will play for all attendees.

IV. Safe Exit for Short-Handed Non-Premade Parties

Added a feature for when your party is not a pre-formed party and a teammate exits before the match begins during the preparation stage, leaving the party short-handed: after entering the match, you can quit early within a set time window without participating in combat, with no penalty and no recorded match result.

V. Music Zone Makeover on Fairyland Penglai

  1. The Music Zone has been changed to a standing-mic setup, and three performance instruments have been added to the stage area: Guitar, Drum Set, and Keyboard. Form a band with your friends!
  2. The Music Zone stage's decor has been refreshed, and stage effects now sync with the rhythm of the music.

Hero Adjustments

I. Tianhai

  1. Slightly increased the hit range of the unarmed skill (stomp) while in the Vajra Ultimate state, and improved the knockback effect.
  2. While in the Vajra Ultimate state, casting skills will now immediately face the reticle's aiming direction.

Dev Comment: We've improved the hit range and knockback of the Vajra skill so that it's easier to follow up with a Horizontal Strike or Vertical Strike grab after a successful hit, strengthening Tianhai's threat against nearby enemies.

II. Takeda Nobutada

The defensive hyperarmor on skill Mythic Grab: Dash has been changed to skill Gold Hyperarmor (金霸体, literal translation).

III. Lyam Liu

The defensive hyperarmor on skill Magnet Attract after the strike lands has been changed to skill Gold Hyperarmor.

IV. Tarka Ji

The Horizontal Strike and Vertical Strike counter moves of skill Flame Force can no longer interrupt skill Gold Hyperarmor, but can still interrupt move Gold Hyperarmor.

Weapon Adjustments

I. Long-handle Weapon

Slightly increased the Counter detection window for Long-handle Weapons.

II. Nunchucks

Slightly decreased the Counter detection window for Nunchucks.

Souljade Adjustments

I. Movement Souljades

Souljade Thunder Summon (召雷术, literal translation) has been renamed to Bolt Rod.

In-Match Adjustments

I. Feature Improvements

  1. The first Stash opened each match in Survival modes will now additionally drop a Common Melee Weapon. This addresses situations where players can't find a melee weapon in their landing zone.
  2. When you try to pick up an item but fail, that item will now be automatically tagged with low pickup priority by the system. This is aimed at reducing the frustration of repeatedly pressing E while moving without successfully picking up the target item.

Out-of-Match Adjustments

I. Match History Interface Improvements

The Match History interface has been visually improved, with The Herald's Trial and Showdown now displayed separately.

II. Glyph Plan Auto-Switching Added

  1. Players can preset which match types trigger Glyph Plan auto-switching out of match. The Glyph Plan will be equipped automatically when the preset match type is matched.
  2. Glyph Plan auto-switching can be set for Solo, Duos, or Trios. This feature works in all The Herald's Trial modes that allow Potential Plan switching.

Showdown Adjustments

I. Combat Adjustments

  1. Souljades Thunder Summon (召雷术, literal translation), Thunder Blade (召雷剑, literal translation), Charged Thunder Blade (蓄雷剑, literal translation), Arcane Thunder (玄雷术, literal translation), Thunder Mastery, and Thunder Shot (唤雷弹, literal translation) have been renamed to Bolt Rod, Bolt Effort, Charged Bolt, Arcane Stratos, Bolt Mastery, and Bolt Shot.
  2. Anima Rings Lightning Strike Resonance (落雷相激, literal translation), Thunder Array (雷阵, literal translation), Thunder Recharge (雷霆术返, literal translation), Enhanced Lightning Strike (落雷强化, literal translation), Lightning Strike Chain (落雷连环, literal translation), Incessant Thunder Array (连环雷阵, literal translation), Lightning Rod·White (引雷·白, literal translation), Lightning Rod·Cyan (引雷·青, literal translation), Lightning Rod·Tyrant (引雷·霸, literal translation), Lightning Rod·Crimson (引雷·赤, literal translation), and Lightning Rod·Defuse (引雷·四象, literal translation) have been renamed to Bolt Resonance, Bolt Array, Bolt Recharge, Enhanced Bolt, Bolt Chain, Incessant Bolt Array, Bolt·White (惊蛰·白, literal translation), Bolt·Cyan (惊蛰·青, literal translation), Bolt·Tyrant (惊蛰·霸, literal translation), Bolt·Crimson (惊蛰·赤, literal translation), and Bolt·Defuse (惊蛰·四象, literal translation).
  3. Souljade Depths Blast now grants more Frostbite value to self when triggering Ice Blast.
  4. Improved the visual cue effect when your Thundershock value is full and Divine Thunder is summoned.
  5. Monsters have been given a new category of Rune Gold Hyperarmor (符文金霸体, literal translation) moves. These cannot be neutralized by the Defuse·Thaw, Defuse·Draw (四象引, literal translation), or Defuse·Advance (四象进, literal translation) footwork.
  6. Adjusted the Hanged Ent monster model.
  7. Adjusted the Twin Hammer Ent monster model and added new moves.

II. Hero Adjustments

1. Tianhai

  1. Extended the duration of skill Divine Bell: Showdown and increased its damage coefficient, with a corresponding decrease in its DMG to Astral Aegis coefficient.
  2. Ultimate Titan's Call: Showdown duration changed from 15 seconds to 20 seconds. Successfully landing a Counter during the Ultimate now extends the transformation duration by 3 seconds.

2. Valda Cui

  1. Skill Water Trap: Showdown has been changed to the following effect:

Fires water bullets in the aimed direction and generates multiple Vortex Orbs (涡球, literal translation). Enemies in contact take damage, lose Astral Aegis, and gain Soaked.

    • Can be held to aim.
    • Detonating the central large Vortex Orb additionally generates a Vortex Orb Glyph (涡球印记, literal translation).
  2. Ultimate Rising Tide: Showdown has been changed to the following effect:

Rise into midair and fire water spears from the air multiple times over 8 seconds.

    • Using a Horizontal or Vertical Strike throws a binding water spear that inflicts Soaked and Astral Aegis Vulnerable (罡气易伤, literal translation).
    • Water spears hitting a Vortex Orb Glyph or large Vortex Orb detonate it for extra damage.

3. Yoto Hime

  1. Increased the damage coefficient of skill Flying Edge: Showdown.
  2. Increased the damage coefficient of each slash segment of Ultimate Demon Blade: Showdown.

III. Stage Adjustments

1. Enigma Domain Adjustments

  1. Adjusted the boss monsters that appear in Enigma Domain.
  2. Enigma Domain has been changed to non-Morus Legends mode.

2. Yama's Abyss Adjustments

Updated the monsters and Omens in each Yama's Abyss stage.

IV. Nirriti's Ruins Adjustments

  1. Adjusted Nirriti's Ruins stages — added scenes beyond Eventide Temple and adjusted monster spawn logic.
  2. Improved the Eradicating the Evil stage on Ghost-Face Peak (鬼面峰, literal translation), removed the Strike It Rich stage, and added a new stage Rolling in Riches.
  3. Adjusted the Portal device's resolution logic when the whole team has made a selection — it will now immediately enter the next stage.
  4. Adjusted the ranged-series Anima Rings:
    • Added Primed Shot, Reinforced Cartridge, Endless Precision, Marksman's Ward, and Healing Shot.
    • Improved the effects of Second Wind, Enhanced Ranged Weapon, Energized Cartridge, Archer's Blessing, Ranged Blessing I, and Ranged Blessing II.
    • Serration·Weapon Repair Kit, Honed Cartridge, Lethal Barrage, Recouping Ammo, and Finale Shot will no longer drop.
  5. Added a Blessing (福佑, literal translation) Anima Ring to each series, and added a new Secret Anima Ring Last Chance.

V. Omens System

  1. Added the Pomegrenade Omen mechanism: Pomegrenades grow from the ground; when a player approaches, the fruit explodes and adds Thundershock value. Attacking the Pomegrenade deals damage to nearby enemies.
  2. Omens Lightning Rod and Wicked Thunder (邪雷, literal translation) have been renamed to Bolt Rod and Bolt Ghost Call.

VI. Feature Adjustments

1. Showdown Souljade Rating Added

To make Souljade value clearer at a glance, we're introducing a new Souljade rating system.

  1. The system calculates a Souljade Rating based on quality, sub-attribute entries, and Elemental Attribute. The higher the score, the better the Souljade's overall attribute potential. The rating is shown directly in the Souljade info tooltip.
  2. On the Showdown personal profile interface and the Equip Souljades interface, the original Sense Level display position will be replaced with that character's equipped Souljade Rating.
  3. Added a Keep Highest-Rated Per Souljade Type option in the Souljade Deconstruct interface, allowing you to filter quickly while preserving the best Souljades.
  4. Added a Sort by Souljade Rating function in the Souljade Deconstruct, Convert, and Inventory interfaces, making it easier to manage and filter Souljades by rating.

2. Curios Disabled

As the essence of the Furnace continues to leak away, Curios have entered a disabled state.

During this phase, Curios can no longer take effect, but you can keep using any crafting materials you haven't yet spent to raise your crafting level. Crafting level will be permanently inherited.

Once the Chaos Furnace gathers its true qi again and the new season Tempered Inferno mode reopens, new Curios will appear, and your previous Curios and Curio crafting materials will be recycled.

3. Item "5x Potential XP Bonus" Changed to "5x Showdown Season XP Bonus"

After Potential Level is merged into Showdown Level, the Potential XP Bonus in your inventory will be upgraded to Showdown Season XP Bonus, with the bonus effect unchanged.

4. Showdown Weapon Stats Tracking

Starting from the Windstorm season, Showdown weapon stats will be tracked separately from The Herald's Trial, recording Showdown-specific data (excluding Nirriti's Ruins mode).

5. Season Collection and Souljade Redemption Added to Narakapedia

Starting from the Windstorm season, Narakapedia will include Season Souljade Collection rewards — collect new-season Souljades to claim corresponding collection rewards. Collection rewards reset with each season update.

Added a Commemorative Souljade category. Each Showdown season, based on Souljade pick rate and performance in the current environment, weaker Souljades will be removed from drops and archived as Commemorative Souljades.

Commemorative Souljades can still be used and can also be redeemed directly in Narakapedia by spending Souljade Fragments.

VII. Souljade Drop Adjustments

  1. The following Showdown Souljades will no longer drop from regular stages or be obtainable from Souljade gift chests: Condensed Qi, Lotus Recovery, Astral Break, Lotus Barrier, Reawakening, Defuse·Thaw, and Against the Odds.
  2. New Special Item Drops:
    • Buried Giant·Hard: added the special drop Cyan Fang·Element.
    • Dangers in the Deep·Hard and Dangers in the Deep·Nightscream: added the special drop Tundra Might.

Settings

I. Assist Settings

Added the Weapon Compatibility Marking feature. When enabled, Souljade compatibility info will be shown in the weapon equip slots.

Feature Improvements

I. In-Match

  1. Unified the movement distance of aim-direction hero skills and Ultimates across different frame-rate environments so they better match the intended effect — e.g. Justina Gu's Arctic Wraith, Matari's Flash·Thrust (追魂·突刺, literal translation), Yueshan's Scorching Dash·Indomitable (陷阵·猛志, literal translation), and so on.
  2. Fixed an issue in extremely high-ping environments where the airborne height caused by a strike was abnormal.
  3. Added a Block Showdown Teammate Special Effects option under SettingsGameplayCombat. When enabled, this hides some of the summon effects from Souljades, Curios, Anima Rings, and similar items equipped by teammates in Showdown mode.
