NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Test Server Update – 2026-01-16

Heroes, thanks as always for your support of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT — you've been granted Beta Server access.

The following changes apply only to this test period and don't represent the final tuning.

New Content

"Skybreak" Season Immortal War Opens

Once you reach Solar tier or above in any Ranked Mode, you can join the Immortal War to compete for all-new rank standings and Season Rewards (including the Serene Treasure Choice Gift, Floral Dew, Legendary Weapon Skins, and more).

Place in the top 500 of the Immortal War and you'll earn a spot on the Immortal Leaderboard. The Immortal Leaderboard settles every Sunday at 24:00; if you're in the top 500 at that point, you'll receive a Title reward. At season settlement, anyone who has held an Immortal Leaderboard Title at any point during the season receives an Avatar reward, and players whose final season standing places them on the Leaderboard receive an additional Avatar.

In addition, the top 3 players at the final weekly settlement of the Immortal Leaderboard will receive a special Hero Badge reward.

Real-Time Spectate

A "Spectate" option has been added to the dropdown menu for Friends and Justice Chamber members, letting you watch that player's current match in real time.

  1. Supported modes: Ranked Mode, Quick Match, Immortal War, Bot Mode, and Rift Traversal. Each match supports up to 40 spectators. While spectating, you can Like and send gifts to the spectated player from the Spectating Party interface.
  2. You can configure who is allowed to spectate you in [Social] → [Privacy Settings] → [Spectate Permission Settings].
  3. You can configure the display range of gift notifications when the spectated player receives a gift in [Social] → [Privacy Settings] → [Spectate Gift Display Settings].
  4. Real-time spectating exits automatically when the spectated party is eliminated or the match ends.

Hero Adjustments

In-Match Adjustments

  • Reworked the Ultimate icon to the left of hero avatars in the bottom-left party info panel. It now includes a Rage progress bar, making it easier to check your teammates' Rage progress.

Tianhai

  • Tuned the timing of Great Vajra's horizontal-strike projectile release. Also fixed an issue where Great Vajra's horizontal-strike projectile fired incorrectly under certain status conditions.

Weapon Adjustments

Dagger

  • Fixed an issue where the charged vertical-strike move would sometimes fail to clash properly.

Dual-wielded Weapons

  • Slightly increased the stagger duration of Dual Blades and Dual Halberds sprinting light attacks when they hit an enemy.

Battle Adjustments

  • Slightly delayed the window for interrupting ranged-weapon repair via jump, crouch, dodge, or weapon switch.
  • Successful Counter now grants 70% Damage Reduction.

Souljade Adjustments

Heng Sword Souljade

  • Reworked Rent Firmament: added a gold Focus Strike segment, and you can now press vertical strike after the cast to chain into Shadow Step.

Mode Adjustments

Immortal War Gameplay Changes

  1. Solo Mode player count reduced from 16 to 12 per match. Trios and Duos Mode counts reduced from 48 to 36 per match.
  2. In Solo and squad modes, the quest scroll icons for pursuit and Public Challenge now appear on the map at 320s and 410s respectively.
  3. Adjusted the safe-zone radius and Shadow Corruption spread duration for Solo and squad modes, tightening match pacing.
  4. Dark Tide Coins earned per round from defeating enemies in Solo Mode increased from 3,000 / 6,000 / 12,000 / 18,000 to 4,500 / 9,000 / 18,000 / 27,000. In squad modes, the values increased from 3,000 / 10,000 / 20,000 / 30,000 to 4,500 / 15,000 / 30,000 / 45,000.
  5. Dark Tide Coin holding cap increased from 100,000 to 200,000.
  6. Yang Depletion duration in Round 1 of Realm of Yang reduced from 270s to 240s; Round 2 reduced from 330s to 300s.
  7. Each round's Spirit Well refresh timing has been brought slightly forward. The Sacred Beast Spirit Well that spawned simultaneously with the Yang Spirit Well has been removed. In squad modes, the Yang Depletion duration triggered by the Yang Spirit Well has been reduced from 275s to 240s.
  8. Round 1 Realm of Yang count reduced from 4 to 3.
  9. The spawn timing of Earth Demons (地煞, literal translation) and the time-limited item sale windows have been fine-tuned to align with the new Shadow Corruption spread timings.
  10. Removed weapon rack spawns.
  11. Removed Cave spawns.
  12. Reduced the existence duration of Combat Item tomes (Longsword Tome, Greatsword Tome, Dagger Tome, Dual Blades Tome, Katana Tome).

Developer comment: We're aiming to tighten match pacing for a punchier feel. We'll keep an eye on how this affects engagement frequency and continue tuning from there.

Maelstrom Gameplay Changes

  1. Before the first Zone Shrink completes, each hero now has 2 Rebirth chances.
  2. Rebirth now grants better items and equipment.
  3. Added a second growth area, the Recurring Realm. At the 390s and 810s marks, a number of Stashes will be reset based on the number of surviving teams remaining.
  4. Added a dedicated bag for Divine Weapon Fragments (神兵残体, literal translation); they no longer take up Item Bag space.
  5. Nexus Realm changes:
    • Removed Nexus Key spawns. Once the Nexus Realm opens, heroes can interact directly with the Nexus Gate to unlock and enter.
    • Improved the default-selection priority logic for the Nexus Gate when exiting the Nexus Realm, and improved the Nexus Gate selection logic for forced exits when the Nexus Realm closes.
    • Added a Nexus Realm round countdown on the left side of the map, displaying round and stage info directly.
    • When the Nexus Realm closes, any Remains inside it are teleported to the vicinity of an interactive Morus' Blessing, with the location indicated on the map.
    • Teams holding the Power of Defuse can now also interact with the Nexus Gate to enter the Nexus Realm.
  6. Teams holding a Divine Weapon Fragment will now also home in on other fragments of the same Divine Weapon that have dropped on the ground or in Remains.
  7. New Combat Item: Wind Horn. Each hero can buy at most one from the Rift Dealer; it may also appear among open-air drops on the ground. Heroes can use it to traverse the Sea of Chaos (混沌海, literal translation) more easily.
  8. Added a guaranteed-spawn Rebirth altar (保底返魂台, literal translation) to each continent.
  9. Improved the visual effects of the sky, sea surface, and lighting in the Maelstrom.

Developer comment: None of the above is final-version tuning; we'll keep optimizing based on player feedback.

Rift Traversal Adjustments

Black Cat Detective Crossover — Shrew Trigger Optimization

  • The Shrew gameplay event will no longer trigger when a player is stationary while using the Mole Hook.

Item Adjustments

  • Reworked the Recon Talisman (侦查符, literal translation) Combat Item: after use, every 10 seconds it scans a 100m radius centered on the user for enemies, for a total of 60 seconds, and reveals enemy hero identity and equipment info.

In-Match Adjustments

  1. Once a Boss [Challenge] is active, leaving the designated area will fail the quest, but the Boss will no longer despawn — it will remain on the field.
  2. The Drunken Fire Crate·Legendary opened by defeating the Boss now contains Rune Stone·Guides — 3 in Trios Mode and 1 in Solo Mode.
  3. After the Boss is defeated, a special Rift Gate appears. Players holding a Rune Stone·Guide can escape directly through it.
  4. Improved the audio cues when Relics are searched and added to the bag, varying by Relic material.

Amulet Adjustments

Renamed Kurumi Tsuchimikado's Spirit Seal·The Onmyoji to Gathering Talisman·Onmyoji, with corresponding icon updates and revised descriptions on other Amulets. The actual effect and value of the Amulet are unchanged.

Developer comment: We've seen Amulets have a positive impact on the Rift Traversal experience and plan to keep developing more hero-specific gameplay along these lines. To better differentiate Amulets with different effects, we've reworked the icons and names of existing Amulets, categorizing them by whether they affect Skills or Ultimates.

Showdown Adjustments

Battle Changes

  1. Curio Dark Plume: added a base effect — using your Ultimate now recycles Eagle Feathers (鹰羽, literal translation).
  2. Souljade Rent Firmament·Element: added a base effect — the cast now includes a gold Focus Strike segment, and pressing vertical strike after the cast chains into Shadow Step.
  3. Improved the visual effects of the Defiance of the Fallen Omen.
  4. Improved Tempered Inferno: fixed an issue where Agnivat, while in Dual Blades form, could use close-range moves while far from the player.

Quality-of-Life

  1. Recommended Souljade set updated: in Suggest Souljades → Recommended, Sap has been changed to non-elemental.
  2. Auto Allocate logic refined: when Souljade scores are close, melee-focused combinations are now prioritized in recommendations.
  3. In Free Training, you can now trial Curios from past seasons that you haven't unlocked. The display order has also been changed to prioritize the current season's Curios.

Out-of-Match Adjustments

Fairyland Penglai Hero Idle Animations

  • Expanded the idle animations of Akos Hu, Matari, and Inor Wan.

Season Quests

  1. The Stage 1 Season Quest "Purchase 6 Nexus Keys on the Maelstrom map" has been changed to "Use 6 Wind Horn Combat Items on the Maelstrom map."
  2. Stage 2 Season Quests unlocked.

Settings

Per-Member Voice Volume

When in a party, you can now adjust each individual party member's voice volume in [Audio] → [Volume Settings].

Bug Fixes

Hero Bugs

  1. Fixed an issue where enemies using certain dash moves to cross through Temulch's Wind Cage (风牢, literal translation) had their movement restricted for noticeably less time than intended.
  2. Fixed an issue where Inor Wan's Thunder Lord skin had hair and cape that floated abnormally during certain movement states.

Battle Bugs

  1. Fixed a bug where using a Combat Item could interrupt the ranged-weapon firing animation.
  2. Fixed a bug where some moves performed inconsistently between male and female characters.

Showdown Bugs

  1. Fixed an issue where Boss monsters could fail to use their Ultimate properly when clashing with Kylin Zhang's Black-Gold Sword.
